Hideout for paperwork
To get away from the electric light that bounces off too strongly from the white of the paper, and to avoid falling asleep by the candle flame, you retrieve to the hideout. It is your close friend's room. There is only space for a humble bed, a small table, and an unproportionally comfortable, cushioned chair. Your friend only ever uses the room to sleep and dress. You, however, have brought both the table and the chair for your comfort. This room - one dorm among over five hundred others - is that of a modest spiritual worker. In this institute, the adepts learn of all spiritual, religious, philosophical, and magickal thinking and practices. After all, to be a good Guide, one must be Enlightened. The institute's doors are always open for all. You never had to sneak in or out. You are always greeted warmly.
Chants and songs from separate halls fly up to you through the vents, and you wonder if your friend's voice is part of the choir.
There is a lot of paperwork to be completed by reading, writing, cross-referencing, editing, and constantly word-searching. You get it done.
